What makes Global Latter-day Saint stories so powerful and how do they connect us?
I was honored to be a guest on For All the Saints podcast with Ben Hancock and share some of my favorite Global Latter-day Saint stories. We also discussed what makes stories so powerful and how they can connect us.
And also many times we want to hear a story because it helps us feel connected to people around the world. And so for me, even as I've been learning these stories and sharing them, I've never been to Venezuela. I know knew nothing about Venezuela, but I did a story about it and it inspired me. And two weeks later, there was the huge earthquake in Venezuela, the two earthquakes, and it just broke my heart cuz I felt connected to them just because I knew a story about them.
And so I think stories just help connect us to people around the world, help us to feel a kinship and to feel united as saints and as those who are were all trying to follow the gospel of Jesus Christ.
